Au Revoir Simone--All or Nothing
I love this girls voice. They have a solid future if they can keep a unique sound.

Tantalizing work from visual legends Shynola, the thought put into this video is contagious. I thought it was all done on a computer until a recent interview with the guys said that it’s 100% illustrations. An incredible video for one of my favourite songs of the Coldplay album.

XXX
Been wanting to write about these chaps/chapese for a while. We had a scare a couple weeks ago when their pianist split off, thought we were gonna lose em. The xx released their self titled debut in August, crafting a sound that is whispy, futuristic, heroin induced, slow churning pop. Vocals are handled by both boy and girl in a quaint, romantic interchange without the lovey-dovey shit that you would expect. Quite the band...
The xx - Heart Skipped A Beat
Florence & The Machine – You’ve Got the Love (The XX Remix) (Renaissance Man Edit)
Covers:
Radiohead is eternal.CWC could use a new album. Both amazing covers.

Fleet Foxes-Blue Ridge Mountains
Something about them makes me want to walk to a nearby meadow and sit in it. Evidently their next album is supposed to be "less poppy and upbeat," considering there already mellow tempo it should be interesting to see what they come up with.
Ms. Seabird
Eleanor is an unsigned artist living the unsigned artist's life in london. She is beautiful. She emailed me a few recordings that might be on her first album, but I think ill sit on those for a little while.
Phoenix - Lisztomania (SF BRAT PACK MASH UP) from chinorockwell on Vimeo.
This kind of thing doesnt happen very often. Phoenix looks like a promising band; a cute and upbeat sound, easily remixed, catchy. We'll see how well they hold up to heavy listening.I wish i could feel like this video made me feel all day.. and i wish i could get in those orange pants.
